The awards come in the form of badges that you can see on the notice board and they are great motivation.

The awards are designed to help younger swimmers focus on their strokes, turns and finishes as well as speed.

To achieve the Sprint Awards you need to have recorded the time or quicker than the 25m, 50m or 100m in each stroke at each level to earn the different awards.  The reports of who has qualified for which awards are here Bronze Awards Sept 17.pdf, Silver Awards Sept 2017 v2.pdf , Gold Awards Sept 17.pdf

Please look at the docs and if the time box alongside your name is coloured:-

GREEN - Congratulations!! You have reached your goal!  Please claim your reward you have earned it!

AMBER - Keep going, you’re nearly there!!!  Stay focused!

RED - Continue working hard and practise, practise, practise - you can achieve anything you put your mind to!

WHITE AND EMPTY - Sorry, we don’t appear to have a time recorded for you.  Have we got this wrong?  Please let us know if we do.  Perhaps it’s time to enter into the competitive spirit? : )

 

The circular award badge and certificate for each level costs £2.75 and the individual flash stroke badges are £1.25 each. Only one circular award per level (Gold, Silver or Bronze) is necessary.

Each quarter the swimmers within qualifying times (see Swim England - Learn to Swim Programme Test Conditions sheets pinned on noticeboard) will be shown on the BSC notice board.  If you would like to purchase the Award Badges please place the correct money in the BSC post box along with your order.

To help make management of these badges manageable we will be running roughly quarterly.  The deadline for orders this time round is THURSDAY 28th SEPTEMBER.
